What do we offer in product development?
For over twenty four years we have specialized in designing and developing new products and processes. Some of these products were developed internally and sold outright, or licensed to companies looking to add new product offerings to their customer base. We will also design products and product enhancements to address a client's specifically defined product needs. With our experience in rapid prototyping techniques we develop your design solutions with amazing speed, and at costs typically much lower than the cost of internal development would be for a partner company. We can quickly turn your product ideas into new growth and profits!
What do we offer in automated contract manufacturing?
Fifteen years ago we purchased and deployed our first Manufacturing Robot as part of an automation project for DuPont. Since that first installation in 1991, we have developed many additional applications using robots. Some of these applications include:

- • Wire harness routing and assembly
- • Heat de-flashing of molded plastic components
- • Extrusion die de-burring
- • Medical device 'kitting' (packaging)
- • Optical fiber progressive polishing and cleaning
- • Small gear box assembly
- • Dispensing routed cast elastomeric enclosure

We are successful because we have all the tools necessary, both physical and expertise, under one roof. When you do business with Shipman Technologies you get access to the tools necessary to develop anything. Your project will probably start with the CAD/CAM capability to develop the drawings necessary for CNC machining. The project may progress through a sheet metal shop, a carpentry shop, and a welding shop along with an electronics laboratory and an elastomer molding and casting laboratory as we seek to satisfy your requirements. All staffed with qualified individuals.In the end, manufacturing capability may be satisfied by one or more of our six industrial manufacturing robots with various capabilities.
We have over twenty four years of experience and the personnel to accomplish your project. Many companies outsource their robotic support relying on contractors to integrate and fixture their industrial robots into the manufacturing line. At Shipman Technologies we accomplish all aspects of implementing robots in house to include process development, jigs, fixtures, and robot tool development. We have a licensed electrician, a Project Management Professional certified project manager, mechanical engineers along with experts and craftsmen of all types on our staff.
We can do your project fast and right, meeting your specifications and requirements within minimum time and cost. Our rapid prototyping capabilities run the gamut from developing a radically new piece of sports equipment soon to hit the market to a digital hot plate for laboratory use.
We are your partner in contract manufacturing. Our broad capabilities allow us to keep outside influences, such as third party developers and vendors, to a minimum. Our experience with rapid prototype robotic manufacturing places us a cut above our competition. We do ourselves what we say we will do.
